Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father’s example of sharing the Word of God to all people. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship that allowed him to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. Oyakhilome There he earned a BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. Pastor Chris: The Mentor

When he was still in university, The Man of God created what would become one of the largest churches worldwide. He started an unassuming prayer group dubbed “Youth for Christ” which would later become the most well-known organization of its kind on campus. It could also be the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers all over the world.

Under Pastor Chris’s leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station broadcasting out of Africa throughout the day on free-to air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations all over the globe.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry operates two healing schools located in South Africa.

Music and Gospel Music are an important element of the worship. Chris Oyakhilome Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) as an international non-profit organization. Its mission is to aid those who are most vulnerable and communities in certain countries and regions of poverty across the globe.

In addition to preaching the Gospel, the Man of God also founded a number of NGOs that have the mission of providing vital services and hope for the needy, poor or neglected. Five partners are part of COFI which works together to raise living standards in the poorest regions.

The InnerCity Mission for Children The InnerCity Mission for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIF], Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and Bible For All Mission are all under the COFI umbrella. Each of these organizations strives to improve lives, health and spirits for those in dire need.

His charity provides shelter and food to those in need. Through COFI and The InnerCity Mission, Pastor Chris believes in supporting strong foundations of community through promoting responsible leadership, good governance, and sustainable development throughout Africa as well as other vulnerable parts of the globe in accordance to the Sustainable Development Goals. It’s easy for Pastor Chris to be an ambassador for Christ through such a diverse and successful ministry.
