We’re releasing a new Minecraft Launcher beta that we would like you to test! What will you see in this beta? I hope there’s nothing!

At the very least, none yet. The Launcher app is currently a start point to play Minecraft: Java Edition, however we see the future when it will be so much more! Steve is blogging We envision it becoming the place to play future Minecraft games, and we have begun the process of redesigning the way the Launcher will look and work.

In this beta version, we have looked at the inside of the Launcher to clean up and organize the code so it can accommodate larger changes in the near future. We’ve made many changes that you won’t see and you won’t notice any differences in the functionality.

However, we would appreciate if you tried it out and provide us with feedback if you find something not working. Report any bugs here. Please ensure that you select the beta (1.2.#.beta) version when creating an issue report. You are also encouraged and welcome to share your feedback on our Feedback site.
